About This Print:
This photo was captured in Sumatra, Indonesia, one of the last places in the world where you can see wild orangutans. This moment was something I had dreamed of, and with only a few thousand orangutans left in the world, I felt a sense of urgency to go. On the way to the edge of the jungle, as I was driving my scooter through the winding roads of endless palm plantations, I felt rage rising in my chest as I watched the deforestation of the jungle with my own eyes. 

This image isn’t just a portrait, it's a reminder that we are animals too! Sharing this world but treating it like it's our own. But true compassion begins with ourselves... When we soften inward and meet our own fear and frustration with tenderness, we naturally extend that compassion outward. That inner shift is where real change starts; for us, for the forests, and for every being that calls this planet home.
